What is the Inclusive Young Company (iYC)?

A partnership with Access Path Productions, SRT’s Inclusive Young Company (iYC) is a holistic acting programme for young persons and adults between the ages of 16 – 35, who identify as d/Deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent. Both SRT and Access Path Productions as organisations believe in addressing the imbalance of accessibility to the arts.

We believe in working with you, your experiences, and your stories, to support disabled-led and -focused work. We are passionate about guiding and honing your artistry and capabilities as individuals, with high-quality processes and execution.

iYC features professional masterclasses and mentorship led by international artist Grace Lee-Khoo and various guest facilitators, which will provide a platform for the development of your creative potential as an independent performer and theatre-maker.

Our key outcomes for this exciting programme include offering equality of learning and personal as well as professional development for young persons, engaging the general public with performances that reflect the experiences of marginalised communities in Singapore, and deepening the wider conversation around access in the arts, and beyond.

The first semester of our 2024 programme will take place from 13 January – 4 May 2024, and the second semester from July – November 2024. The participation fee is SGD225.00 per semester.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please submit your application to the 2023 cohort of participants

For this round of auditions, participants will be given a choice between

  • Auditioning live in person
  • Auditioning live through an online session via Zoom
  • Submitting audition tapes (video recordings)
  • The application deadline is 10 Dec 2023, 11.59pm.
